Ronald, Tita, Francis and I went to SM to watch Close To You. I know, I know, since when did I became fond of romantic local movies? Years ago, I only enjoy comedy local movies. *shrugs* My friends told me the story was good and they planned to see it. Aica and Andrew would've come but Aica wanted to watch I Will Always Love You instead. Rey felt sick so he didn't get to come either.
When the four of us came to SM, there was like a crowd of people around the circle, looking down to the ground floor. It so happens that Starstruck is in town and because Francis is such a big fan, we let him join in the fun. The four of us separated, Ronald and I bought necessities while Tita walked around buying her stuff, and Francis took the opportunity to watch his idols perform live.
After we did our own things, we went up to the movies- which we should've done earlier as soon as we came. We found out that the movie will start about more than an hour later so we decided to eat merienda first at Greenwhich. The taro flavored Pearl Cooler tastes good by the way. It tastes like ube, not to mention that it's purple.. Is there like a connection? *shrugs* Hmmm..
The movie was ok.. Bea and John Lloyd did well as usual.. Sam Milby wasn't so bad either. It was all right watching it coz the story was good although I'd have to say that I wasn't satisfied with the ending. I thought it ended too soon. But whatever, I mean, maybe it's intentionally like that. The problem was solved at the end anyway so.. Hmm!
Speaking of local teen flicks, I want to watch Blue Moon. Part of the reason is that Mark Herras and Jennylyn Mercado's there (my favorite local teen pairing) and that it was set at Cavite High. I wonder when the vcds will be released... Most probably when I get my hands on it, we'll all watch together. Who knows? It'll be fun that way, ne?

I wasn't ready by the time Ronald got here. I was excited but at the same time, a bit nervous. We're going to have a dinner date at some restaurant he refused to tell me. From what I know, it's going to be at Cavite City. He said he had dinner reservation at 6:00pm. It was very much near six already by the time I was done. Kit, Francis, Andrew, and Aica came over to see what's up.
We went to Chefu and dinned there. I thought it'd be like a big cute place. When we got there, I realized I was so wrong. Mostly families dine and old folks. I swear, when I scanned the place, it looked like it was just him and me that were teens. Well, I couldn't blame him-- I suggested the place coz I've never been there and I was curious. It wasn't that bad anyway.
He ordered a lot, thinking we'd be able to finish it. It was a lot more than we could handle. I actually ate more than he did. He's watching his diet coz of Taekwondo. We decided to take the food home.
When we got back, I was kinda surprised why the door was closed. After I slid the door open and stepped on the doorway, red rose petals showered me in my place. The whole living room would've been dark if it wasn't for the little candles on the rose petaled-floor(pink, white, and red) that led to the table in the kitchen. The place was rearranged; it was as if there was a purpose why the furniture gave space. After a while I soon realized what it was.
Tita and Francis were standing by the corner in the dark. I noticed them holding a rope that led to the top of the wall by the door.
"It's improvised," I was informed.
There was a box by the top of the door that held the petals before it fell. Nice one.
The room smelled heavenly and piano music filled the air. It was one of my favorite songs. I noticed Tita and Francis disappeared as quickly as they appeared a few seconds ago. I guess they want us to have some time alone.
Ronald led me in. My heels brushed through the petals on the floor as I walked to the kitchen. There on the table was brewing potpourri oil-- strawberry to be exact-- my favorite scent. On the wall, there lies a big heart-shaped colored paper with our pictures pasted on it. It said, "Happy Valentines".
On the phone table sit, there was a big bear. It looks like.. light mocha.. hehe.. light brown-ish. It had a pink ribbon on its neck. My favorite color and my favorite stuffed animal. (Now Snowy, my Christmas bear, has a companion.) (We decided to call her Tine-Tine. Yeah, I know it sounds like "tayn-tayn" but actually it's pronounced as "tin-tin". It came from the word valentine. Tita Nhora thought about it.
"My gosh, this is so cute," I gushed as I held it.
Ronald asked for my hand. A thought suddenly struck me.
"Oh no, we're not gonna dance, are we?" He nodded.
We danced. It was a slow dance. Though we've never done this before, we learned on the spot. We talked as we danced. He asked me and waited for a long time. By the time I finally answered, we were both sweating. (I wished the whole house were air-conditioned.) He told me to take off my necklace. After I did, he placed a silver heart necklace around my neck.
The purpose for the day was accomplished. The lights went on and Tita, Francis, Rey, and Kit appeared, congratulating us. It was a happy evening. We gave Tita our signed Valentine's card. SeReMiRoNoLyn DreCisCa signed. Well, except "No" coz that's Tita (Nora) of course. Kit and Rey went home coz it was getting late. Francis and Tita ate dinner as me and Ronald cleaned up.
Such a wonderful night, really memorable for me.
Thank you.
Now Valentine's not that bad to me anymore.
