Looking back, I never wanted to celebrate my debut with extravagance. I prefer a small gathering with my family and friends.. you know, just relax, eat, and talk. (I wasn't nearly excited as my friends.) I thought, debut is just another day that I get older and it doesn't need to be a big deal. (Though debut and weddings are like a one-day celebration, I consider weddings as really something great and important, unlike debut.. as it involves something Sacred.) But then, when it happened, I felt a strange surge of longing inside me.

It was then I paused and thought, "Maybe I said it wasn't such a big deal because the three most important people in my life aren't with me right now."

Yes, it was true.

Both my parents are away. My dad.. *sigh* I have no news about him. Mom.. she called twice. The night before my birthday-- just to greet me in advance-- and the precise day, to ask how it went. The other person.. well, he's at school, practicing on dance moves for the upcoming karakol. Woe is me.

There's nothing I can do about it, I know. Dad's somewhere I don't know. We haven't any contact since 2001. Mom is in the other side of the world because of her job. And that certain someone is busy with his thing.


I know nothing could make up for it. The day passed. *sigh*

But then again..
It was an opportunity for us IV-Gold to reunite and reminisce, that's certainly a positive thing, ne? By the way, I never expected there would be the presentation of roses and the dancing.. Heh, Chamie ha..

(warning: the pics' colors are *ahem* horrible, I know. As I keep saying, I need a new camera! Grr.. so I edited them all because it looked too dark to see anything.. and these are the outcome of my unprofessional editing of the shades.. The shots are really dark, it pisses me off!)

the spaghetti sauce.. I'm not fond of spaghetti.. it was a suggestion from sis Chamie since she misses eating spaghetti..


Tita Ellen and Chamie decided to make a punch with concoctions I never heard of. I was hesitant to try it at first but when I did, I found it tastes surprisingly good! (There were fresh cut oranges and apples mixed..)


It's one of my cakes. The other one (it's Mocha!) was in the refrigerator, same size as this. I ate 4 cakes in celebration of my birthday (3 kinds). This chocolate one, I didn't eat much.. Wait, I think I only tasted the icing.. Darn. The Mocha.. I think I ate almost half of it. The Black Forrest that May gave me as a gift-- I finished recently. Then there's the other Black Forrest as a gift to me and Ate Airene from my LIA1PSY classmates. We ate it right after our last class [080706] in the room where Ate Peny works.

Thanks so much for that: Bebey, Ate Sheryl, Ellen, May, Gladys, and Raymond.. and the people who joined in the eating trip.. Ate Peny, Tanya, and Janina to name a few haha..

I chose this layout since I can't "fix" the codes on the other one. I simply couldn't find out what's wrong with it (the text of the entries cannot be seen). I love this current layout. It gives me that artistic feel and sort of brooding. I thought it's perfect because my entries here are, for the most part, pretty depressing. Being heart-broken makes you poetic. I wanted to read my entries again to see how much I've grown. Getting hurt is part of life. (I think through the years of suffering, I've finally become more mature.) Being stronger afterwards is what matters afterall. =)
